Daddy Tell Me a Story Podcast
Stories are more than entertainment. Stories are connections. Stories told over and over again by the bedside in the magical minutes before sleep are how bonds are formed from child to parent to grandparent to great grandparent to ancestors going back beyond when we started writing them down. Children ask for stories at night not just because they want to be entertained, but because they want to feel this connection with both the one telling the story, and the great line of people the story came from. We hope you feel this connection as well, when my children and I gather around the microphone and tell bedtime stories, both ones that we made up, and ones made up a long time ago.
