Age has refused to let me define myself. Seems every five to ten years I evolve, intentionally and otherwise. This evolution is alarming even as it is delightful to me, to discover layers of myself, to move out of my comfort zone, to not be afraid to see what I can become. The journey really started when at the ripe old age of 47 I joined the motherhood fraternity, which I tell you is a different ball game entirely, parenting truly brings unexpected surprises. I want to speak up about the issues that concern me because they may affect my child when she grows up, hoping my voice will multiply and move us into positive action.
