Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. (2 Corinthians 13:5)
Many times people are praying when they should be saying. Jesus told us to speak to the issue, and we must believe what we say. Just because we want something doesn't mean we are in faith, believing for it.
We are to examine ourselves to determine if our faith is real.
When we have heard from the Lord--from His Word, from His Spirit, that's how faith comes, and nothing else will suffice. Faith in God is based on what He said.
