PLVS Dub Techno Mixcast
Born and raised in East Germany, PLVS discovered his passion for electronic music as a teenager in Leipzig’s evolving techno scene. His journey as a DJ began in 2001 with a cheap pair of turntables and a stack of second-hand hard techno vinyl. After moving to Berlin in 2004, his sound became more defined, largely influenced by the late Tresor club and the early days of Berghain, where he quickly became a regular. Over the years, he lived in various international cities, always seeking fresh inspiration for his music. He was actively involved in multiple electronic music collectives and spent many years as a selector and DJ, curating finely crafted and deliberate sets. Now, PLVS has found a new home on the misty, mysterious west coast of Vancouver Island. Today, after two decades of collecting and immersing himself in electronic music, PLVS has embraced dub techno as his true passion. His sets, characterized by a driving, dancefloor-focused sound, seamlessly blend the atmospheric depth of classic dub techno with the precision of straight techno—creating an experience that resonates both in the club and beyond.
