This week I had the great pleasure of sitting with my friend Joshua Austin. I met Josh in my very early days of training at SGC. Where he was the resident purple belt. Josh has been on and off jiu jitsu most his adult life. He is an electrician and his other passion is playing guitar in his band Black Headdress.

We are Back!! First episode of 2024 I sat down with Tom Robinson. Tom decided to begin his Jiu Jitsu journey in his 50s and is now a 3 stripe white belt, and has fallen in love with the martial art. He trains regularly at Moreira's in Biddeford Maine while also dropping into numerous other gyms. Toms other passions are his family the ocean and hunting particularly archery.

This is just a quick episode on what's been going on the last month or so. How I've been feeling about my Jiu Jitsu lately and how it's been at Moreira's the last couple months.

Master Richard Smith is the owner and head instructor at Richard Smiths Family Martial Arts Center in Sanford Maine. Master Smith has practiced in numerous forms of martial arts and has competed all over the country even winning a national title in Taekwondo. He has made his living teaching since 1990 in southern Maine and continues to do so.
