According to AGA, "Bettors are expected to legally wager as much as $2.72 billion on "March Madness" this year" (Medithi Par 2). That is an extreme amount of money even for what is the biggest sports betting event of the year. Although it seems all in good fun, some people really should not be choosing to make such bets. In fact, "39% of bettors are under the age of 35" (Birches Health par 4). That is a very young age to develop these habits especially when most Americans under 35 are weighed heavily by debt. In this podcast, I have a heartfelt talk with my mother on her experiences of being the child of a gambling addict and why she so strongly believes against this path for young Americans.
