Beer, banking and a brotherly biff over the Bulldogs have culminated in a brand-new wealth management resource from some of the most trusted names in financial planning. Wealth Radar is a podcast with a difference – a no-holds-barred conversation that lifts the lid on the questions that are burning a hole in Far North Queenslanders’ minds and pockets. It is the creation of Cairns firm Fowler’s Group, which has 50 years of experience investing, managing and advising in Far North Queensland. The ambitious venture is an exciting new entry to Fowler’s Group’s long and respected history in the financial planning sector – and hosts Jason and Paul Fowler are almost ready to kick off. “A backdrop of $12 lettuces, rising interest rates and petrol prices that would make an oil baron blush have given us plenty to talk about on Wealth Radar,” Jason said. “But it’s not about rehashing the news. “We’re here to provide expert insight into what the current pressures mean for each of our wealth journeys – and the techniques that can put families on a path to financial security. “No matter what the market is doing, there are always big opportunities to make the right investment decisions. “Our clients have asked for it, and now we’re ready to share Wealth Radar with the world.” Wealth Radar’s hosts are both certified financial planners and respected members of the Far North Queensland community. Jason can recommend some amazing wines, knows his way around the kitchen and backs the Canterbury Bulldogs. Paul is a long-black coffee kind of guy – but only in a takeaway cup – and would have had a family the size of a footy ball team if his wife would have let him. Both are dedicated Kamado cooks, but Paul stresses that his grill is considerably larger than Jason’s. The pair are born and bred Far North Queenslanders and cannot wait to share their insight, tips and ripping yarns with special expert guests. “We might not always be 100 per cent PC, but we will always be honest,” Jason said. “And we will definitely not agree on everything – just ask our mum Jill.” “Most of all, we want to be part of a community – so you can ask Wealth Radar anything. “Techniques to ferret away $1000 without even noticing? “The five biggest investment pitfalls for Far North Queenslanders? “Just let us know.” The Wealth Radar podcast will officially launch on Tuesday, July 5 with new episodes every fortnight.
