Today's Orthodox Nationalist delves into the Old Believers, specifically, the “Mystic Tsar Mikhail Alekseevich” (d. 1708). The Old Believers argue that he was the first son of Tsar Alexis, but due to his rejection of the changes to the liturgy, went into self imposed exile. While most later would term this a myth, there are surprisingly good reasons for believing that he existed and served as the locus of the early Old Believer movement.
