Synopsis:

Some of the patients in The Haven, a state mental hospital, think that their doctor is going to kill them. These psychopaths are treated by Dr. Dan Potter (Dwight Schultz), a new therapist. In their twisted minds, they feel they must kill Dr. Potter to survive. Considered dangerous incorrigibles, they are kept in a top security ward.

Hawkes (Jack Palance) is a former POW, Preacher (Martin Landau) is an angry prophet, and Fatty (Erland Van Lidth) is a 370 lb. hulk who devours little girls. One night, a citywide blackout enables the men to escape from their electric cells. They circle Potter’s house, trapping him and his family inside. Cut off with no weapons, no telephone and no electricity, the family faces a terrifying night… alone in the dark.
