RECAP TIME:

Our heroes were a step ahead of their nemesis, Xethir – they simply had to find the first heartstone fragment of his dead god before his minions could. Tomorrow they would get their briefing with a construct of the Apotheos, under a bridge in Miras Kàlorn.

But first, they explored the lower city and prepared to find the Analyst, and quickly discovered that a group of elite Opari Knights wanted Ahmaya for the theft of a relic and the murder of her father, the leader of a rebellion in the Opari.

With some crafty spellwork, they escaped and Freya soon found the analyst at the Artificer Guild reclamation yard. Ripped from its home and dying, the Analyst machine told her that the chains of faith gripped the empire and an agent of it hunted clerics like her. The clockwork man.

Then they were attacked by strange tungen creatures that seemed to be controlled by someone – and quickly followed by the Opari Knights who still tailed them.

The fight was brutal, the tungen and their slave master defeated, and Sentinel and Moxie managed to trap the Knights in a wall of force filled with magical darkness. After Freya transferred the soul that inhabited the analyst in her God’s Lantern, they fled.
