We all Know the story of the abused girl who convinced her online boyfriend to murder her mother. But what if just like Sheriff Arnott said "Nothing is as it appears...."?
In June of 2015, Clauddinnea (Dee Dee) Blanchard was found dead in her Springfield, MO home and her disabled daughter, Gypsy was missing. The story hit the news and our lives were forever changed. The girl with the high-pitched voice, a national treasure to many, shocked the nation when she walked into the courtroom to plead not-guilty to th charge of murdering her mother.
Our team has been involved on the case sinc just before the HBO documentary, Mommy Dead and Dearest aired in 2017. We originally worked closely with the family to try and bring this case to light but the evidence in the case just began to tll a vastly different story than what the media had led us to believe. When we started asking questions, the family turned on our team.
This podcast was originally aired as the first season of, The Good Wives' Guide to True Crime (2019) but with our upcoming documentary series, Gypsy Rose & Nick- America's Sweetheart Murderers we took it down to include in the series. We will be re-releasing it as a companion to our documenary series on The Good Wives Network, available online, on Roku, Amazon TV, Android TV, & Apple TV starting in Nov 2023.
Since the airing of these episodes we have uncovered even more evidence and some of our opinions here have changed which will b discussed in our series.
In this 5th episode Fancy, Colleen and our late Christina (may she rest in peace) discuss the the differences between Munchausan By Proxy and Malingering. As far back as five Gypsy knew what was going on and participated. It is our theory that this family is a family of con-artists. Why did nobody report it when they all knew? Because it's what they do, they scam people. There is history in the family of this type of behavior and it's not just one or two bad apples, it's the whole bunch.
Please make sure to give us five stars.
