When Toby was introduced to us by mutual friend Seb Lavioe, he was struggling.

Though to be fair, he was struggling less than he had been in previous years.

Toby was sexually abused as a kid which led him down a path to join the Canadian Army and ultimately the Canadian Special Operations Regiment... which ultimately led him to a hillside in Afghanistan where an IED changed the trajectory of his life.

He suffered for decades from the effects of PTSD and TBI - plagued by rage and depression he supplemented all the pills the doctors put him on (26 a day at one point) by self-medicated with liquor and cannabis.

He and his wife Sheri approached us interested in attending an Ayahuasca retreat, but Toby was in no condition to travel to the jungle when we first met.

We worked with them for 6 months inside of our microdosing program to get him off of his anti-depressants & quit drinking to prepare physically and mentally for the retreat.

And his healing has been so profound that he and his wife now volunteer as peer mentors inside of our program in order to share their lessons learned and give back to their community of veterans, first responders and other trauma survivors.
