On Sunday, December 1, the liturgical year begins anew with the first week of Advent. Every year, Christians all over the world set aside 4 weeks to wait for the celebration of Christmas. In Advent, we imagine what it would have been like for those who awaited the coming Messiah and find hope as we look forward to the day when Jesus will come again. As you listen to the sermons, light Advent candles, participate in events like Advent Morning Prayer, and engage in our Advent Guides; we hope we will all be reminded that God is a God who does what he said he would do. There is hope in the waiting.
