The presence of journalists at the collation centers is a separate issue. We are not governed by public order regulations. Our role is to promote transparency, fairness, and credibility. Restricting the media would only deepen the trust deficit in the Electoral Commission. Allowing such restrictions could negatively impact the peaceful conduct of elections in the country.
