The Electoral Commission needs to step up its efforts. Finding ballot papers with voters' choices on the floor reflects poorly on the measures taken to ensure free and transparent elections.

The presence of journalists at the collation centers is a separate issue. We are not governed by public order regulations. Our role is to promote transparency, fairness, and credibility. Restricting the media would only deepen the trust deficit in the Electoral Commission. Allowing such restrictions could negatively impact the peaceful conduct of elections in the country.

Many sectors in the Western region are dissatisfied with the allocation of funds and how they are being utilized. There has been little significant development in the area. The youth are calling for a change in the current situation. While the NDC performed well in the region, development has stagnated since the NPP assumed power.

It is disheartening to see how bad the economy has become, with many people losing their sources of income. When we discuss topics like this, it’s not just about politics. Previous administrations had their challenges, but the current NPP government has surpassed them with the high level of corruption we are witnessing today.

Before our seats dropped to 14, we held 21 seats. This number has now become our minimum target for the upcoming elections. Additionally, we aim to reclaim constituencies like Tema East, La Dadekotopon, Ledzokuku, and others. It’s also worth noting that we managed to win some of their strongholds, such as Amasaman.

Ideally, only the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) qualifies as political parties in this country. If our laws work effectively I doubt they'll qualify to be one. This is debatable though in our current dispensation.
