Ep-42-3-day (72 hours) water fast.

A three-day water fast, can have several benefits, including:

  • Weight loss
    Fasting creates a calorie deficit and shifts the body's metabolism to burn fat for energy.

  • Improved insulin and leptin sensitivity
    Fasting can make the body more sensitive to these hormones, which can help reduce blood sugar levels and the risk of obesity.

  • Reduced inflammation and oxidative stress

  • Increased human growth hormone (HGH) production
    HGH stimulates cell growth and regeneration, preserves muscle mass, and burns fat for energy.

  • Improved heart health
    Fasting can reduce blood pressure levels and improve cholesterol.

  • Cell regeneration
    Fasting stimulates autophagy, a process that breaks down and recycles old or damaged parts of cells.

  • Mental clarity
    Fasting can help build mental resilience.

I just finished my yearly 3 day water fast and it turned out great!

I ate my last meal on Monday evening around 7p and started my three day water fast.

Fortunately, I work from home now so for all three days I was able to relax, meditate on my fasting prayers, drink 3/4 3/4 of a gallon of distilled water, take detox baths, recorded episodes on my podcast and l watched fasting videos. I did not exercise or do anything strenuous. I checked my blood glucose each day & it was down in the mornings and then it was up in the evenings.

My glucose Readings: 63 mg/dL in the mornings and 73 mg/dL in the evenings.
