Stories remind us of what God has already done, invite us into a daily practice of praise, and connect us to praise for what God is yet going to do. David ends his reign by recounting stories of praise.

In 1 Samuel 16, we find that when King Saul struggled with an evil spirit, the power of praise and music was able to free him from his emotional issues. Praise is part of our faith journey with God.

Man looks at the outside, but God looks at the inside. Our battles belong to God and it's incredibly important for us to listen to His instructions for our lives.

God speaks to the boy Samuel, who mistakes God's voice because he's not used to hearing Him. Nevertheless, God keeps speaking. Mistakes provide the greatest opportunity for growth, but only if we listen with humility.
