Lama Alan's Commentary on Lama Karma's Shamatha Teachings

On November 18th, 2020 Lama Alan offered five hours of oral commentary to Drubpön Lama Karma’s experiential account of his own practice of shamatha and subsequent contemplative training. This was Lama Alan’s first teaching at The Center for Contemplative Research at Miyo Samten Ling in Crestone, CO. The basis for this talk was a carefully translated transcript (a copy will be provided) of the teachings on shamatha given by Drubpön Lama Karma in Santa Barbara October 18, 2019. For anyone interested in shamatha this will be a very meaningful teaching. There is also an interesting story behind the translation, which Lama Alan shares during his oral commentary.
