On Wednesday, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation heard testimony from Jared Isaacman, President Trump’s nominee to lead NASA. During the confirmation hearing, Isaacman indicated a priority of sending humans to Mars—while maintaining the agency’s plans to return people to the lunar surface.In response to a question from Senator Ted Cruz, Isaacman said “I don’t think we have to make any tough trades here, Senator. I think if we can concentrate our resources at the world’s greatest space agency, we don’t have to make a binary decision of moon versus Mars, or moon has to come first versus Mars.” Senators questioned how a strategy involving both options would be possible under current funding levels, and stressed that a bipartisan law had codified the current approach of targeting the moon first, then Mars.The fate of the Artemis lunar exploration program has faced questions in the new administration. It was a frigid December day in a small logging town in Maine, roughly an hour’s drive from the US-Canadian border. And despite the falling snow, Christmas shoppers were out in full force. While most of the shoppers hurried from store to store, a small crowd had gathered in front of the police station. The shoppers watched as an officer stapled a poster to a telephone pole. Then, when he was done, they shuffled closer for a better view. The poster contained a forensic artist’s sketch of a middle-aged woman. She had a narrow face, thin nose, glasses, and bangs. And according to the text above the image, the police were looking for this woman in connection with a recent double homicide. The murders were shocking, but they were also the most exciting thing to happen in this part of rural Maine for as long as anyone could remember. So despite the cold, the shoppers stood there studying the sketch and discussing whether it looked like anyone they knew. They were so caught up in their conversation, no one noticed a bundled-up figure hurrying past on the sidewalk. This figure slowed just long enough to glance at the poster and recognize the face in the sketch, which bore a striking resemblance to their own. Depending on the 3d model they’re a bat or a dove, but at least in the demo, that doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. They’re flying, so you have to knock them down before you can do melee damage to them. Basic grunts. Valte Commander [ENVC]: The Valtese (Valtean? Valtican?) Commanders are a lot of tougher than the basic grunts are, and unfortunately, they can also summon the regular soldiers too. Knock them out of the air and then try to stun or debuff them quick! Mysterious Seaslimes [ENMS]: I love the way these enemies are actually each a SWARM of little weird gecko-y slime guys. They focus on debuffs like Slow and Enraged, so be sure to have Tonics on hand when you’re passing through their forest. The Dragon-Fish [ENDF]: I can’t stress this enough: This is an optional boss in Prelude, and it’s hard as hell. Maybe in the full game you can beat it or maybe there’s a quest related to it, but for now, it’ll just kick your ass. Someone on the forum claims they beat it and only got like 5 XP and a quest item called “Strange Scale” that you can’t use anywhere. NOT WORTH IT. Lobble Traveler [ENLT]: Just kidding. But I DO wish you could fight this ANNOYING freak. Hexcloak [ENHC]: Did you know that if you grind in the southern tip of the demo, there’s like a .5% chance you’ll run into a Hexcloak? You learn their deal towards the end of the demo, but this is the only way you can actually see them in action. They’re strong, but if you’ve maxed out your party (or at least hit the level 10 max in the demo), you can probably win this fight! And if you do, you’ll get a random elemental cloak drop from them. Of course, if you can win this fight, you probably don’t need better gear anyway!

Spoke to Todd and Kerri who are from Louisiana. They were camping and had seen eyeshine from two individuals who were about 6-7 feet tall. Kerri and Todd describe pebbles hitting their tent and strange vocalizations. The two individuals came into camp and were touching the tent and walking around the camp. Todd says “I could hear them hitting my truck and I lost it. I came out of my tent with an airhorn and yelling. We grabbed our stuff and left.
